The Dawgs may not have many scholarships to offer, but the quality of the commitments thus far has been outstanding. Read what new commitment Blake Barnes had to say about committing to Georgia.

Blake Barnes had been to Athens three times this summer, and for the Georgia Bulldogs, the their time was the charm.

"We got back in from Athens about 12:30 last night," said Barnes. "I had been up there several times during the summer. I had felt like that was where I wanted to go all along. I just wanted to sit down with the coaches and get a better feel for them, and on the way home I decided I wanted to go to Georgia. I tried to call Richt, but couldn't reach him so I called Coach Bobo and committed."

"I really feel comfortable with their coaching staff, I really like what they are doing. Everything just fit well there."

Barnes was a standout at the Elite 11 workout in Las Vegas this summer, and he throws the pretties deep ball in the south. He will compete with Elite 11 QB A.J Bryant for the quarterback job at Georgia. Barnes has excellent footwork, a strong arm, and great accuracy.

I've seen him in person at a half a dozen camps this summer, and he has been on the mark at each one of them. Barnes is a member of the Southeastern Hot 100 as one of the top QB's in the country, and one of the top overall players in the south.

Here is a quick video clip of Barnes in action, so you can see for yourself the type of quarterback that Georgia is getting.
